Bookies have sat up and taken notice as well, slashing Brentford’s odds on doing so from 16/1 into just 9/1.
In fact, Brentford’s popularity among punters is that high, they’re fancied more than flavour of the month Leeds, who are the second most backed with 30% of all bets.
Leeds are the current favourites to win the league at 5/1, followed by Tony Pulis’ Middlesbrough at 8/1 and Stoke at 8/1.
