Wolves star man has already put in some eye-catching performances this season.
Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves is the most popular punt for who will scoop the PFA Young Player of the Year award, following his strong start to the season.
The Portuguese player is proving more popular than the likes of favourites Raheem Sterling and Naby Keita, attracting the lion’s share of bets.
In total, Neves has attracted 36% of all bets over the past week, with punters especially piling in following the 1-0 away win at West Ham.
That’s resulted in bookies cutting odds on him winning the accolade, from 25/1 into as short as 12/1 to be cdrowned top youngster.
Elsewhere, Raheem Sterling is the bookies’ favourite to scoop the award at 5/1, followed by Naby Keita (7/1), Leroy Sane (9/1), Gabriel Jesus (10/1) and Richarlison (11/1).
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: “The star of Wolves’ climb back to the Premier League, Neves drew rave reviews in the Championship, and that momentum is more than carrying over to the Premier League.
“He’s being heavily backed to make a splash in his first season in the top division, with over a third of all bets being placed on the 21-year-old taking the title off last year’s winner Leroy Sane.”
