Chelsea cut for the title after 100% start

Four wins on the bounce for Sarri has sparked punters interest.

Maurizio Sarri has silenced any doubters about his Chelsea side in the early stages of the season, having won all four of their opening games. As a result, their odds have been chopped in half to win the Premier League title.

One firm back in June had Chelsea priced at 20-1 to come out on top this season, although now you will find the majority of bookmakers have the Blues at 10-1, the current third favourites to win the title.

In the past week alone, Chelsea have received 20% of all bets to be crowned Champions, whilst Watford have received the most with 25%, after their blistering start to the season under their new manager Javi Garcia.

At 10-1, the Blues are still outsiders compared to heavy favourites Man City, but their start has certainly been impressive. Chelsea should also make it five wins on the spin, as Premier League new boys Cardiff City head to the Bridge of Saturday afternoon.

A trip to West Ham follows, before Sarri’s side host Liverpool at the end of the month. If his side are able to defeat Klopp’s side, we may see Chelsea shorten even further for the title, especially as Liverpool are the 11-4 second favourites to win their first ever Premier League.

Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “It has certainly been the start Sarri was after and they’ve surpassed early expectations with a 100% win ratio. However, their lack of strikers over the season will more than likely see them fade out of the title race, although their Champions League ambitions are very much alive.”
