Bookies believe the teenager is set to represent the Republic of Ireland over England.
West Ham teenage star Declan Rice is heavily odds-on to pledge his allegiance to Republic of Ireland and snub England, according to bookmakers.
They’ve priced it up as 1/2 that Rice devotes his future to the Boys in Green, in layman’s terms that’s the equivalent of a 66.7% implied chance.
On the other hand, its 6/4 that the London-born player pledges his allegiance to England, which is a 40% implied probability chance.
It was widely reported that Rice would announce his decision last week, although it appears it’s still up in the air for who the 19-year-old will represent internationally.
Rice has played in three friendly matches for the Boys in Green, although is still to make a competitive appearance, thus meaning he could still play for Gareth Southgate’s side.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: “At 19 years old it's a tough decision for Rice to make, but the fact that he could be part of an international set-up right away for Ireland could tip the balance in their favour, as the odds suggest.”
