The ex-Scotland boss has been cut to joint-favourite with 61% of all bets.
Former Scotland manager Gordon Strachan has had his odds cut into joint-favourite for the vacant managerial position at Dundee, following the sacking of Neil McCann.
Strachan is now the 6/4 joint-favourite alongside Jim McIntyre for the role, despite the latter opening as the standalone favourite.
He’s been heavily backed in the market also, attracting 61% of all bets in the last 24 hours, considerably more than any other candidate.
Elsewhere, short-term Livington boss Kenny Miller is 6/1 third favourite for the job, with Alan Stubbs coming in around the 8/1 mark.
Barry Smith is 12/1 alongside former Steelmen manager Stuart McCall, with another former Motherwell assistant boss Archie Knox coming in at 16/1.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “Strachan's managerial stock is certainly on the rise as Scotland have continued to struggle since his departure.
“He is the obvious first choice for Dundee, but the concern has to be whether they can lure him to the club.”
