Pep’s side have now been cut to 12/1 to go the rest of the season without defeat
Manchester City’s sizzling start to the season has seen bookies slash odds on Pep Guardiola’s side finishing the Premier League season unbeaten.
They’ve cut odds on them doing so from 25/1 into 12/1, with money continuing to be placed on City following in the footsteps of the 2003/04 Arsenal invincibles.
With three teams left in the league unbeaten, bookies have been prompted to offer odds on City, Liverpool and Chelsea to go the whole season without dropping to defeat.
City are comfortably the most likely at 12/1, with Liverpool less likely to achieve the incredible feat at 20/1.
Maurizio Sarri’s new-look Chelsea side are a whopping 50/1 for an unblemished season, and host Crystal Palace this weekend as they look to extend their unbeaten domestic streak.
Out of the unbeaten sides, City have easily been the most popular among punters, with 64% of bets placed on Pep’s side over Liverpool and Chelsea.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek said: “It's not even November yet and people are already discussing the possibility of an 'invincible' Premier League team.
“Many thought that Manchester City would do it last season but Pep Guardiola's team fell short, the odds suggest that they have a chance to go one better this term.”
