The Three Lions top their Nations League group and are through to the semi-finals
Three cheers for sweet revenge. England avenged their July World Cup exit by beating Croatia 2-1, and are now just 3/1 to win the inaugural UEFA Nations League.
Goals from Jesse Lingard and Harry Kane (Who else?) meant that the Three Lions avoided relegation and instead will compete in the semi-finals in Portugal next June.
You could have got 8/1 best price on an England comeback when they fell behind to Kramaric’s deflected goal. The worst price was 5/1, a £60 difference on your winnings if you’d have stuck £20 on!
As big as 12/1 yesterday evening, England are now just 5/2 in places to win the Nations League, with a best price of 4/1 available. While Gareth Southgate’s side are not favourites, they are behind just France and Belgium at this time.
The latter are top of the market at 11/4 to win the tournament, but anything could happen as we now look towards next Summer. Let’s hope it is as fun as this summer was!
Oddschecker Spokesman George Elek: “England did it the hard way, but they beat Croatia to qualify for the Nations League semi-finals and are now 5/2 in places (in from 12s) to win the tournament. It might not be the trophy we all want, but 53 years of hurt would end!”
Did anyone else see the Croatian goalie get absolutely wiped out just after Kane scored? #ENGCRO #ThreeLionspic.twitter.com/rxolqgDp7n
