The two clubs are level on points half-way through the season.
Some bookmakers have made Rangers the shortest price they have been all season to win the SPFL, after beating Celtic at Ibrox this afternoon.
It was a game that Rangers had to win to stay in the SPFL title race and they did just that, beating Celtic for the first time in the league since 2012 and going as short as 3/1 for the ultimate prize.
Celtic meanwhile are still odds-on and are 2/9 best price to make it eight leagues in a row, although the two clubs are currently on the same number of points, with Rangers having played a game more.
Since the start of the season, twice as many bets have gone on Rangers to win the league opposed to Celtic, but the last 24 hours has seen 63% of total bets go on The Blues, with just 31% of bets going on the Bhoys.
Rangers have been drifting in the market recently and were as big as 8/1 this morning, but the win changes the picture completely and possibly gives Brendan Rodgers his greatest domestic challenge to date.
Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “Steven Gerrard tasted so many derby victories as a player but this could be the sweetest of the lot. Rangers have been well-backed all-season and the shortened price won’t be putting anyone off, this could really be the year that the Blue half of Glasgow become champions of Scotland.”
