Fulham now 96% likely to be relegated from the Premier League, say bookies

Fulham now 96% likely to be relegated from the Premier League, say bookies

Claudio Ranieri's side lost on Friday to West Ham and are eight points adrift of safety.

Fulham had a huge game on Friday night against West Ham, but a 3-1 defeat has made some bookies go 1/25 that they get relegated from the Premier League.

Conceding 61 goals in 27 games, The Cottagers look doomed to going back to the Championship after one season in the top flight.

With the worst goal difference in the division, the West Londoners have kept just two clean sheets in the league and the loss against the Hammers has virtually sealed their fate.

Ranieri meanwhile moved to 11/2 from 20/1 to be the next Premier League boss to go. Maurizio Sarri remains the 3/10 favourite.

Cardiff also lost on the night against Watford and remain odds-on at 5/6 best price to go down. On the flip side, they are 5/4 to stay up, while Fulham are now a mighty 11/1.

Since the final whistle of both games, Fulham have had 66% of total bets in the relegation market. It seems that punters believe the fat lady is clearing her throat for the Cottagers.

Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “It looks like we know two of the bottom three already, with Fulham unable to stop scoring and now 1/25 to go down. Questions will be asked of Claudio Ranieri and whether he is the right man to take the side back up next season should the worst happen.
