Manchester United defy 18/1 odds to qualify for the Champions League quarter-finals

Ole's Red Devils were 18/1 pre-match to qualify but did the unthinkable in Paris.

Manchester United did it in Fergie time: An injury-time penalty from Marcus Rashford has sent Ole Solskjaer’s side into the Champions League quarter-finals, and they are now just 7/1 in places to win the competition.

United were 125/1 best price to win the tournament this morning, but their current price puts them as fourth-favourites, behind only Man City (14/5), Barcelona (19/4) and Atletico Madrid (9/1).

Since the final whistle blew in Paris, 80% of total bets have gone on United, with punters rushing to back one of the unlikely success stories of the season.

The Red Devils were a huge 18/1 to qualify before tonight’s game, and were 55/1 best price to win 3-1 at the Parc Des Princes.

That’s a huge difference to the worst price of 33/1, and a difference of £440 off a £20 stake!

It was the first time that a side has given up a 2-0 first-leg lead in their own stadium and it’s yet another early exit for PSG, who still haven’t reached the semi-finals of the Champions League this decade.

Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “Manchester United did it again in the last-minute of a Champions League game. Is their name written on the trophy? They will have tough tasks ahead but it seems that Ole Solskjaer can do no wrong at the moment.”
