Liverpool well-backed for Champions League glory following Quarter-Final draw

Jurgen Klopp's side face Porto in the last eight and their odds have shrunk.

Liverpool and Juventus are the big movers in the Champions League market, going from 5/1 into 7/2 and 5/1 into 10/3 respectively after the quarter-final draw was made.

Jurgen Klopp’s reds face Porto with a game against Manchester United in the offing should the two side’s progress, while Juventus face Dutch side Ajax.

United face Barcelona in a tough-looking test for Ole Solskjaer, while Man City go up against Spurs in an all-English affair.

Since the draw was made, 44% of bets have gone on Liverpool, with Juventus the next best backed side with 27%.

Man City remain the 5/2 favourites, with the ‘Old Lady’ now second favourites at 7/2 best price.

Liverpool are further back at 11/2 best price to go one better than last year, with United and Spurs available at 18s and 20s to go all the way.

Oddschecker spokesman George Elek: “Liverpool got the team they perhaps would have preferred on paper, but a huge derby against Man United or a battle against Barcelona awaits them if they get past the Portuguese champions. Juventus may be the bet right now, although Ajax could well pull off another big shock.”
