Ole's not at the wheel? 85% of bets on Solskjaer to be SACKED after Everton defeat

Ole's not at the wheel? 85% of bets on Solskjaer to be SACKED after Everton defeat

Solskjaer's odds to leave before the end of the season slashed after drubbing at Goodison Park.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s odds to leave Manchester United before the end of the season have been slashed to 12/1 from 50/1, after a 4-0 defeat to Everton.

United had a torrid time as they lost a fourth away game in a row and puts them almost certainly out of the top four race.

85% of bets this Sunday in the ‘Next manager to leave’ market have gone on Solskjaer, who is a best price of 20/1 to leave despite signing a three-year-deal last month.

The favourite to leave his post before the 12th May is Chris Hughton, who is 7/5 best price to depart from struggling Brighton. No manager to leave is available at 8/11.

United are now 6/1 to finish in the top four and look set to miss out on Champions League football next season.

Everton meanwhile are 11/4 to finish 7th, and potentially get themselves back in Europe after a two-year absence.

Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “It would be the most ‘jerky’ of knee-jerk reactions, but something is fundamentally wrong at Manchester United and a potential reset could include the managerial position, even if a club legend is currently in charge.”
