Manager with no previous Premier League experience 1/4 to take over at the AMEX.
Brighton’s shock sacking of Chris Hughton has resulted in Graham Potter being installed as the early odds-on favourite to take over at the AMEX.
The Swansea boss is the market leader at 1/4, which is an implied 80% chance that he takes over at the south coast club.
He’s proving popular with punters too, accumulating 28% of all bets placed on the next permanent Seagulls boss.
Some bookmakers have Potter as short as 1/8 to take over the job full time, implying an 88% chance.
Elsewhere, Lionesses’ gaffer Phil Neville is 12/1 for the gig, followed by Pep Guardiola’s assistant Mikel Arteta at 14/1.
At longer odds, Antonio Conte is 16/1 to take his title-winning prowess back to the Premier League, with Gary Rowett (16/1) the same price.
Oddschecker spokesperson George Elek: “Graham Potter's first season at Swansea may look underwhelming to an onlooker, but the reality is that he has taken a young squad and got them playing attacking and attractive football.
“Swansea will be desperate to keep hold of him, but then it is clear to see why he would be the first choice of Brighton owner Tony Bloom.”
