League Cup winner a 1/3 favourite to take charge at the Riverside.
Ex-Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Woodgate has been installed as the early favourite to take over from Tony Pulis.
The former Real Madrid man is the immediate 1/3 favourite, following the dismissal of Pulis this morning.
He’s the most popular bet with punters, accumulating 39% of all the early money in the market.
Elsewhere, ex-Boro boss Aitor Karanka is the second favourite at 5/1, followed by Michael Reiziger at 8/1 and recently fired Chris Hughton at 9/1.
Linked with the Brighton job, Phil Neville is 16/1 for the gig, with Danny Cowley (14/1), Steven Gerrard (14/1) and David Moyes (16/1) also in the mix.
Oddschecker’s Football Writer Ryan Elliott: “Tony Pulis' football was the ultimate cure for insomnia, but this style only appeases fans when it leads to glory; a 7th place finish was always going to spell the end for the Welshman.
"His likely successor Jonathan Woodgate is a familiar face for the Boro faithful to get behind. A much-needed culture change could be imminent at The Riverside Stadium - can Woodgate be the man to deliver it?"
