Bookmakers have unanimously cut odds on struggling Real Madrid star Gareth Bale joining Manchester United this summer, following the Welshman’s snub at the weekend.
Bale was an unused substitute in Real’s home loss to Real Betis, prompting another flurry of bets on the ex-Spurs man leaving the Bernabéu this summer.
Just last month, Bale was 3/1 to join Manchester United, but that’s been cut to odds-on with a number of bookmakers, as short as 8/15.
In fact, nine of Britain’s top bookmakers now have Bale at odds-on to join United, with money continuing to pour in for the move.
Punters are backing the move too, with 56% of all bets in the market since the Real Betis snub being placed on United.
Elsewhere, Spurs are second favourites across the board to sign the 29-year-old, as short as 7/2 to secure the services of their old talisman. One bookmaker is offering the best price of 6/1 that he joins under Mauricio Pochettino.
No other Premier League clubs appear to be in the hunt, with a move to ‘any Chinese club’ the next most likely destination at 10/1, followed by PSG at 14/1.
Chelsea follow next at 20/1, then comes Juventus (20/1), Arsenal (25/1) and Bayern Munich (25/1) round off the top European clubs with a chance to sign Bale.
