Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is now the favourite to take over at Juventus, priced at 8/11 with one bookmaker.
Having just completed an historic domestic treble with City, an Italian journalist claims the 48-year-old has agreed to controversially ditch the champions and take on the vacant managerial role following Maximiliano Allegri’s exit last week.
Despite passionately denying having spoken with Juventus about the role, there have been plenty of murmurings to the contrary in the media this morning.
As a result, 60% of bets on the market in the last 24 hours have gone on Guardiola making the move.
Speculating about the validity of the rumours, observers have suggested Guardiola could be eyeing a shot at the Champions League with the Serie A giants, having failed to take City beyond the quarter-final stage in his three seasons at the club.
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri had been heavily linked with the job following rumours of Frank Lampard taking his position at Stamford Bridge, though he is priced at 9/2 behind Pep.
Jose Mourinho is also hovering around similar odds with some bookies, but at a best price of 9/1.
