The Eagles have been cut from 28/1 into 11/2
Crystal Palace and Newcastle are battling it out at British bookmakers for favouritism of Alfredo Morelos’ next permanent club.
The two Premier League sides are dominating the betting market over the past month, with Palace coming to the forefront in the last 24 hours.
In fact, 34% of all bets in that timeframe have backed the Eagles to be El Buffalo’s club next season, sending their price crashing.
On the 1st of July, Crystal Palace were 28/1 to sign Morelos. Now, that’s been cut all the way into 11/2 best price.
However, one major British bookie has taken even further evasive action and cut the price all the way into 7/4.
Newcastle remain favourites using the best price, with 5/1 on offer for the Toon to sign the Colombian hitman.
Elsewhere, French outfit Lille are third favourites in the race at 7/1, followed by West Ham (8/1), Marseille (8/1) and Sevilla (14/1).
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Morelos is now 6/1 to stay with Rangers for the 19/20 season, which is an implied 14% chance he stays at Ibrox.
“It looks like a formality that the cult hero will be off in this transfer window, which begs the question of where he’ll end up.
“A host of Premier League clubs appear to be in the running for the 23-year-old, with Palace the latest to receive an influx of money from punters.”
