Gareth Bale 87.5% likely to move to China, according to bookies

The Welshman's time in Madrid appears to be over.

Gareth Bale has been cut to 1/7 to join any Chinese club this summer – which is an 87.5% chance in Layman’s terms.

The 30-year-old, despite helping Real Madrid to three consecutive Champions Leagues and one La Liga title, isn’t fancied by gaffer Zinedine Zidane, opening the door for a lucrative move elsewhere.

Bale didn’t feature for Los Blancos in their 3-1 defeat against Bayern Munich as part of their USA pre-season tour, and it’s evident Zidane is taking no prisoners during his first summer window back with the Spanish giants.

27% of all bets in the last 24 hours have been placed on Bale to be seduced by the riches over in China – an outcome which now looks a certainty.

While a Premier League return was touted for a short while, Manchester United and Spurs being 20/1 and 25/1 respectively to secure Bale’s signature suggests that discourse is dead in the water.

Oddschecker Spokesperson Callum Wilson: “It’s certainly been drawn out, but it looks like the Gareth Bale transfer saga is finally over.

“He’s won the lot at Real Madrid, and despite having plenty more left to give in Europe’s major leagues, it’s hard to begrudge his decision to earn big money in China.”
