The English youngster has featured prominently in United’s pre-season tour
17-year-old Mason Greenwood's odds have been slashed to start Man Utd's first game of the season, following a string of impressive pre-season performances.
Greenwood has been cut from 3/1 into 9/4 to be named in the starting XI against Chelsea on August 11th.
The youngster is pushing for a place in Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s starting line-up, with the forward competing with the likes of fellow youngster Marcus Rashford for a spot.
You won’t find as short a price on his team winning their 14th Premier League title. The Red Devils are pitched as mammoth 40/1 shots to take Man City’s title.
That’s considerably longer than their noisy neighbours, who are odds-on 4/6 favourites to retain the title.
United’s fierce rivals, Liverpool, are second-favourites at 5/2, followed by Spurs (18/1), Chelsea (33/1) and then United (40/1).
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Manchester United have a rich history of bringing through exciting academy graduates, and a strong pre-season suggests Mason Greenwood is about to take that plunge.
"Though he's only 17, Greenwood could be the perfect tonic to perk-up United's stale-looking squad."
