Odds suggest Spurs on the brink of double transfer swoop

Two players are now heavily odds-on to move to Tottenham this window.

Bookmakers have slashed odds on Tottenham Hotspur making two new signings in this transfer window.

Having been linked to a move to the North London side for months, Ryan Sessegnon is now as short as 1/20 to make the switch. That’s an implied probability of 95.2% that a deal goes through.

The 19-year-old got plenty of game time for Fulham last season, scoring twice and assisting six.

Meanwhile, Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is said to be top of Mauricio Pochettino’s wish list. The 23-year-old has today been cut to as short as 1/8 to join Spurs.

The Argentine scored 16 goals and picked up six assists in all competitions last season.

The Champions League finalists have already splashed out to add Frenchman Tanguy Ndombele to their ranks as well as youngster Jack Clarke.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “It’s an entirely different picture for Spurs in this transfer window. They made history with no summer signings last year, but could be welcoming a host of new talent if the bookies have it right.

“Fans will also be buoyed by the news that star man Christian Eriksen is now 8/15 to stay.”
