Newcastle United have been made clear favourites to sign free-scoring winger Jarrod Bowen from Hull City, being cut to as short as 5/2 to acquire the youngster’s signature.
The Magpies were as long as 10/1 seven days ago, but 33% of all bets in this market over the last 24 hours has seen bookies take evasive action.
Bowen smashed in 22 goals during last season’s Championship campaign, and it’s clear the 22-year-old is ready to make the step up into the big time.
Steve Bruce will be desperate to re-inforce his forward line, filling the sizeable void left by Salomon Rondon and Ayoze Perez.
Southampton are second-favourites to sign Bowen, drifting into 7/2—though Ralph Hasenhuttl may wish to step up his interest should Charlie Austin’s likely departure be confirmed—while newly-promoted Norwich are next at 4/1.
