Marcelo Bielsa’s men touted for a return to the big time
Leeds United are now 54.5% likely to be promoted this season, according to bookmakers, as odds for them to reach the Premier League have been cut to 5/6.
The arrival of on-loan striker Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal has seen 19% of punters back United for promotion.
Fulham, who themselves had a busy deadline day, are second-favourites for promotion at 2/1, while West Brom are 5/2 following their signing of the prolific Charlie Austin.
The Whites are also priced at 3/1 to win the Championship, as many punters are confident Nketiah can fill the hole left by Kemar Roofe up front.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Leeds’ play-off heartbreak last season will still be fresh in fans’ memory, and the Elland Road faithful will be desperate for Nketiah to fire the side to glory.
“Bookies certainly believe it’s their year, but can Bielsa deliver the goods second time round?
