The Brazilian is now odds-on with several bookmakers to go to the Spanish giants
Neymar is now as short as 1/2 to join Real Madrid this summer, implying there is a 66.7% chance that he will make the move.
69.8% of bets in the last 24 hours have gone on the 13-time European champions being his next club, three times as many as Barcelona (21%).
Barca were thought to be leading the race for his signature but in a stunning move in the market, they have been leapfrogged by their El Clasico rivals.
The are now available all the way out at 6/1 after being odds-on in a place this morning. In contrast, Real Madrid were available at 20/1 just seven days ago.
One bookmaker is still offering odds of 1/12 that a deal for the Brazilian is not completed this window, whilst it appears Juventus are not interested, haveing drifted out to 20/1 today.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “The best thing about transfer deadline day is huge stories coming out of the woodwork late in the day – and they don’t get much bigger than Neymar to Real Madrid.
“A sizable amount of money has been placed on the prospective move, forcing bookies to decimate odds from 20/1 into 1/2 in an incredibly short period of time.”
