Odds SLASHED from 66/1 to 33/1 on Manchester United to WIN Premier League after Chelsea demolition

The Red Devils have caught the eye of many-a-punter

The odds of Manchester United to win the Premier League have been emphatically cut from 66/1 to 33/1 after their Sunday slaughter of Frank Lampard’s hapless Chelsea.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men wound-up 4-0 winners, resulting in 42% of all bets in this market placed on the 13-time winners in the last 12 hours.

The Old Trafford humiliation, which was Lampard’s bow as Blues boss, has seen Chelsea balloon to 80/1 for domestic glory this season.

Manchester City are still red-hot favourites for the Premier League title, priced as long as 2/5 in some places, while Liverpool and Spurs are next at 3/1 and 25/1 respectively.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “33/1 is still far too long for a club as big as United to win a Premier League title, but Ole certainly couldn’t have asked for a better start to this campaign.

“Tougher questions will be asked of United as the season goes on, but humiliating old foe Lampard to kick-off proceedings is a nice place to start.”
