Poch could well be off, if punters are correct
Bookmakers have unanimously slashed odds on Mauricio Pochettino being the first Premier League manager to leave in the 19/20 season.
In fact, odds have been slashed from 66/1 all the way into 4/1 on Pochettino being the first out the door, making him the new second favourite in the market.
That’s due to a whopping 91% of all bets in the last 24 hours backing the Argentine to leave before the rest of his managerial cohort.
The only remaining manager more likely to go before Pochettino is under-pressure Watford boss Javi Gracia, who is 5/4 to be the first to leave.
Despite the Hornets’ appalling start to the season, Gracia has only attracted 6% of all bets in the last 24 hours.
Elsewhere, Pochettino is 7/2 to be named the next Real Madrid manager, only trailing Jose Mourinho (5/4) in the market.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Spurs fans look away – the catalyst for the North London club’s rise to prominence over the last five years, could well be on his way out of the door.
“A betting frenzy has taken place on Pochettino being the first manager to go, with 9/10 of all bets in the market now backing the 47-year-old.
“With the amount of money being placed Pochettino leaving and various reports in the media – this is definitely one to keep an eye on.”
