Would this be a decent signing for the Red Devils?
Manchester United have been installed as the early favourites to sign Red Bull Salzburg teenage sensation Erling Håland.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been cited as 5/1 shots to sign the forward in the January transfer window, topping the market ahead of some top European sides.
Reports suggest United sent a scout to watch the RB Salzburg striker on the night he bagged a hat trick in his maiden appearance in the Champions League.
However, the Red Devils aren’t the only European powerhouse to send scouts, reportedly, with Barcelona also watching at the Red Bull Arena.
Barcelona are priced at 6/1 to get their hands on the prodigious talent before February 3rd 2020, just a shade behind Manchester United.
Defending Champions League side Liverpool come next in the market at 12/1, followed by Real Madrid (14/1) whilst Manchester City are priced at 16/1 to get their hands on the wonderkid.
However, if you fancy Håland to follow in the footsteps of his father, it’s 20/1 that the 19-year-old is playing for Leeds following the next transfer window.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Despite Roy Keane ending his father's career while in a United shirt, the bookies are confident Erling Håland's next destination will be Old Trafford.
"There's the obvious Norwegian connection with Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but will boyhood Leeds fan Håland opt for their rivals in the red half of Manchester?"
