We reveal the most backed teams in the English leagues this weekend.
Brighton welcome an Everton side who got back to winning ways last weekend but before that had lost their last four league matches. Marco Silva is struggling to get any sort of form going and fans are beginning to lose their patience. Brighton, on the other hand, look to be building something exciting under Graham Potter. The Amex Stadium is somewhat of a fortress for the Seagulls and plenty of teams have struggled on their visits to the south coast. Punters think it will be hard for an out of form Everton side and are backing Brighton to continue their strong record at home in the Premier League.
Millwall somehow managed to throw away a two goal lead in the last moments of their game against Brentford last weekend and lose 3-2. New man Gary Rowett will be sure to get a frosty reception from Stoke fans but punters are backing him to get off to winning ways. The Den is a very hard place to come to as an away side and Stoke are struggling. They seemed to have turned a corner with victories against Swansea and Fulham but loosing midweek to Sheffield Wednesday won’t have done their confidence any good. The Millwall players will be keen to show their new manager what they are about and punters are getting their money down on the Lions.
Punters are backing Ipswich to bounce back from two disappointing results when they visit Southend this weekend. Paul Lambert’s men were top of the league but have lost their way slightly as of late. They face a much easier task this week in the form of Southend who took a 7-1 drubbing from Doncaster last weekend. It is Sol Campbell’s first game in charge and he has a mountain to climb trying to keep this team up. Ipswich have an array of talent across the pitch and should put this poor Southend team to the sword.
Cheltenham find themselves in second place in the League Two table and will arrive at Grimsby full of confidence after a fantastic midweek display, beating Macclesfield 3-0. They face a Grimsby side who have lost four of their last five games in all competitions. They are in dire form and an in form Cheltenham team are being backed to heap more misery upon them on Saturday. They are struggling desperately in front of goal and Cheltenham should take advantage of that.
