A stream of bets have been placed on the Special One heading to the Emirates
A burst of bets have been placed on Arsenal being the next permanent club that Jose Mourinho manages, following reports the former Manchester United manager is interested in the job.
In the last 6 hours, a whopping 89% of all bets in the market have backed Arsenal to be the next destination for the Portuguese manager.
That’s resulted in his price crashing to join the Gunners, having his odds cut from 20/1 all the way into just 6/1.
In turn, that now makes Arsenal the second most likely destination for where the Special One heads to next, with Bayern Munich the favourites in the market at 4/1.
Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund have also proved popular for where punters think Mourinho will go, with the Bundesliga side fourth favourites at 13/2.
It’s 8/1 that Mourinho doesn’t have a club or country by August 1st 2020, and 9/1 that he makes a spectacular return to Real Madrid.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: "The Special One has been threatening a return to the Premier League for many months, and should Unai Emery get the boot, the Arsenal job may be just too tempting for the Portuguese."
Mourinho wouldn't bring the style of football many Gunners fans are craving, but he's a highly decorated winner who would surely oversee a significant upturn in results."
Jose Mourinho’s next club:
Bayern Munich – 4/1
Arsenal – 6/1
PSG – 6/1
Bayern Munich – 13/2
No Club or Country by 1st August 2020 – 8/1
Tottenham – 8/1
