The ex-Bluebird has been halved in price.
Ex-Cardiff City captain Sol Bamba has been heavily punted to become the next manager of the club, with bookies cutting on the appointment.
In the space of just 12 hours, firms have cut odds on Bamba succeeding Neil Warnock from 25/1 into 12/1.
That now makes him fourth favourite in the race to take over at the Cardiff City Stadium, whilst ex-Millwall gaffer Neil Harris remains the odds-on favourite.
Harris is a short price of 1/5 to take over at the Championship club, with Charlton boss Lee Bowyer second favourite at 8/1.
Newport County manager Michael Flynn is next in the running at 9/1, just ahead of Bamba (12/1) in the running.
Leading football stats providers, WhoScored.com, revealed only Willy Boly (157) made more tackles and interceptions combined than Bamba (155) of all centre-backs in the Premier League last season.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Neil Warnock's surprising departure from Cardiff City has opened up an enticing managerial vacancy in the Championship.
While there will be no shortage of suitors, the Bluebirds may be inclined to appoint a new gaffer internally.
“With over 100 league appearances for the club, Sol Bamba certainly knows the place inside-out, and would doubtless be a cheaper option than the likes of Tony Pulis or Chris Hughton.”
