The Spurs boss is as short as 1/1 to be the next Premier League manager to go…
Odds have been slashed on Tottenham Hotspurs manager Mauricio Pochettino being the next Premier League manager to leave their respective club.
In the last hour, a whopping 81% of bets in the market have backed the Argentine to leave his post before any other top boss.
That’s resulted in his odds being slashed from 14/1 just days ago, into as short as 1/1 to be booted. One firm is offering the best price of 9/4 that he goes next.
In turn, that means Pochettino overtakes fellow under-pressure manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, who’s drifted from 1/1 out to 3/1.
On the other side of North London, Unai Emery is the third favourite to be the next manager to leave, priced at 15/2 to do so.
Elsewhere, struggling West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini comes next in the betting at 10/1, followed by Daniel Farke (14/1) and Marco Silva (14/1).
Reports suggest that owner Daniel Levy and Pochettino have held crisis talks, with players “braced for managerial change”.
It would take a reported £12.5m to sack Pochettino, unless the pair can strike up a mutual agreement.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Spurs' horrendous season has caught virtually everybody off guard, and it's looking as if the Champions League finalists will soon be without a manager.
"Nobody can deny Mauricio Pochettino has worked wonders in North London, but all good things must come to an end, and punters appear to believe that Spurs' golden, albeit trophy-less era, is winding down"
Next Premier League manager to leave:
Mauricio Pochettino - 9/4
Ralph Hasenhuttl - 3/1
Unai Emery - 10/1
Manuel Pellegrini - 11/1
Marco Silva - 14/1
Daniel Farke - 16/1
Quique Sanchez Flores - 20/1
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer- 25/1
