Sack race: Marco Silva, Unai Emery and Manuel Pellegrini under pressure following horror weekend

Silva now has a 69% chance of leaving next following his Canaries catastrophe

Mauricio Pochettino’s sacking and a multitude of high profile managers losing at the weekend has formed a three-way tussle in the next manager to leave post-market.

Marco Silva is now the clear odds-on favourite following his side’s humiliating 2-0 defeat at home to Norwich and is now priced at 4/9 to be the next Premier League manager sacked.

That’s means bookmakers now think there’s a 69% chance that Silva is sacked next, with Arsenal manager Unai Emery hot his heels.

Emery has had his odds cut from 12/1 into 7/2, making him clear second favourite, with money continuing to be placed on the Spaniard.

In the last 24 hours, the vast majority of the money has been split across both Silva and Emery, with the former accruing 39% of all bets and the latter attracting 26% of bets.

There are two other top bosses closing in on Silva and Emery, with Hammers manager, Manuel Pellegrini, cut into 12/1 third favourite to next.

The other on the periphery is relatively newly-appointed Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores, who is 20/1 to be the next Premier League manager to leave their post.

Football stats gurus WhoScored.com revealed that only Aston Villa have picked up fewer points away from home in the Premier League (4) this season, than Everton.

Arsenal have only won 14 points of a possible 39 in the Premier League against established top-six clubs under Unai Emery.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “It's been a Premier League season rife with under-performance: Watford and Spurs have already pulled the trigger on their respective managers, and it feels like we're on the verge of another flurry of sackings.

"Everton's dismal defeat to Norwich has put Marco Silva firmly in the Toffees owners' cross-hairs, although Manuel Pellegrini and Unai Emery are both teetering on the precipice - which has formed an intriguing three-way tussle in the Next Manager to Be Sacked market."
