Jamie Vardy punted to smash his OWN goalscoring record ahead of Aston Villa

The Foxes forward’s price has been sent crashing.

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy is being bet on to beat his own record of consecutive Premier League goals, with odds tumbling on it happening.

Bookmakers started offering odds when Vardy had four consecutive goals this season, with the forward priced at 250/1 to break his own record.

However, bookies cut odds into 200/1 after one more goal, and now have him priced at just 33/1 to score in 12 consecutive games.

Vardy is also the clear favourite to be crowned Premier League top goalscorer, priced at 21/10 to outscore his domestic cohorts.

Elsewhere, Tammy Abraham is the 6/1 second-favourite behind Vardy, with Harry Kane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang both priced at 8/1.

Football stat gurus WhoScored.com revealed that of the 236 players to have had more than 20 shots, Vardy has the best conversion rate (37.8%) in Europe's top five leagues this season.

Only Messi (30) and Lewandowski (28) have scored more league goals in 2019 than Vardy (26).

He has the best conversion rate of the 87 players to score 10+ since the turn of the year too (31.7%)

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Jamie Vardy is a revelation. He came to the Premier League as a bit of a figure of fun - an energy drink-slurping hot-head who had spikey hair.

"Five years and one Premier League trophy later, and Vardy has a claim to be one of Europe's best strikers. With all of his achievements to date, would it really surprise anyone to see the 32-year-old break his own goalscoring record this season?"
