The attacking midfielder could well be on his way to Anfield
Liverpool have been punted into odds-on favourites to sign RB Salzburg’s Takumi Minamino this January.
Jürgen Klopp’s side have been cut from 7/4 into 2/5 to sign the highly-rated playmaker in the upcoming window.
That’s due to a high influx of bets on the move happening over the last 30 minutes, with 92% of all bets placed in the time period backing Liverpool to be his next permanent club.
Elsewhere, Man City are way off the pace to sign him, according to bookies, priced at 18/1 second favourite in the race for Minamino.
The other half of Manchester, United, are the same price at 18/1, followed by Arsenal (25/1), Chelsea (25/1) and Tottenham (25/1).
Barcelona are 33/1 to sign the Japanese star, followed by Everton (33/1) and Real Madrid (33/1).
Football stat gurus WhoScored.com revealed that only Hakim Ziyech and Riyad Mahrez (4) registered more assists than Minamino (3) in the Champions League group stages this season.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “RB Salzburg's swashbuckling attacking football has taken Europe by storm, and as a result, a great deal of attention has been cast onto their array of attacking talent.
“Erling Haaland has rightfully grabbed the headlines, but attacking midfielder Takumi Minamino, who has netted seven times this season, looks a promising pick-up for Liverpool - not least for their commercial aspirations in the Far East..."
