The Blues are now in the driving seat, according to the bookies.
Bookmakers have unanimously slashed odds on England starlet Jadon Sancho joining Chelsea this January transfer window, with the Blues now favourites to secure his services.
A number of firms have cut odds from 16/1 into the best price of 7/2, making Frank Lampard’s side the favourite with all 11 bookies offering the transfer special.
That’s due to an influx of bets over the last week on Sancho making the move to Stamford Bridge, with 64% of all bets backing the Blues.
In turn, that means Chelsea have leapfrogged previous favourites Liverpool in the market, with Jurgen Klopp’s side slipping to 14/1.
Elsewhere, Manchester United are now third favourites in the race for the Bundesliga talent, now priced at 16/1.
Bayern Munich follow shortly after at 25/1, with Arsenal, PSG and Manchester City all priced at 33/1.
Football stat gurus WhoScored.com revealed that Sancho is the only player in Europe's top five leagues to register double figures for both goals (11) and assists (11) in both league and European action this season.
Only Thomas Muller (11) has registered more assists than Sancho (9) in the Bundesliga this season.
He is also WhoScored.com’s highest-rated teenager (7.79) in Europe's top five leagues this season.
