Oddschecker have taken a look at the potential replacements for the Spurs' hitman.
Krzysztof Piatek looks the most likely player to join Tottenham this transfer window.
After the news broke that Harry Kane would be sidelined until April with a hamstring injury, it's become clear Tottenham were on the hunt for a new talisman.
It will be no easy task to replace a player of Kane’s calibre but Jose Mourinho will have to do his best if his team have any aspirations of Champions League football next year.
AC Milan striker, Krzysztof Piatek is the current 1/3 favourite to join the North London side. The 24-year-old Pole has been making a name for himself in Italy in the last two years. He has netted 26 goals in 55 appearances in the Seria A and has received plenty of plaudits in the process.
Tottenham and AC Milan have held talks over the £30 million valued forward but no official bid has been made yet by Spurs and Daniel Levy. His best years are still ahead of him and it would be a great scoop for Spurs and an exciting understudy to Harry Kane.
Edinson Cavani is the second most likely striker to join Tottenham, currently priced at 7/1. His goal scoring record throughout his career is incredible and it would be fantastic to see him grace the Premier League. However, it is unlikely he would want to play second-fiddle to Kane when he is back to full fitness.
An extraordinary return to White Hart Lane could be on cards for Gareth Bale who is 11/1 to return to his former club. It is no secret that he has a very poor relationship with many at Real Madrid and the lure back to a club where he is adored by the fans may tempt him. He is as short as 2/1 with some bookmakers.
At slightly longer odds, it is possible that the inform Danny Ings could be on the move to North London. He is 14/1 to leave move from Southampton to Tottenham.
He is in the form of his life, having bagged 13 goals so far in the Premier League this season. He looks to have finally put his torrid time with injuries behind him and really show what he is capable of. He may see a move to Spurs as an opportunity to increase his chances of getting into England’s Euro 2020 squad.
Whilst it seems unlikely he will leave Southampton at this stage, it could be the perfect move for both Ings and Tottenham.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: "While an injury to the talismanic Harry Kane is a huge blow for Spurs, Jose Mourinho will be relieved he's in a position to find a replacement for the England skipper in January.
"Krzysztof Piatek hasn't hit the same goalscoring heights as last season, but he's still a very impressive goalscorer, and would be a great coup for the North Londoners."
