Bookies make it a 91% chance that the Sporting CP star is moving to Old Trafford...
Odds have been unanimously slashed on Portuguese star Bruno Fernandes joining Manchester United this month, with bookies now predicting a 91% chance the move is pushed through.
He was as big as 5/2 last Friday but was cut throughout the day and by the evening was as short as 1/4.
Over the weekend he was clipped in even further, into 1/6, with more rumours over the move circulating.
With further reports today suggesting a deal has been agreed between Manchester Utd and Sporting CP, one bookmaker has shortened the odds into 1/10.
Having been linked to the 25-year-old throughout the summer, the move never materialised but the transfer has been revived this month.
Manchester United fans are reaching feverish levels as it looks like the Portuguese star is on his way to the Theatre of Dreams
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be desperate that this move gets over the line. The attacking midfielder could bring the spark that Man Utd badly need to push for the top four in the Premier League this season.
Elsewhere, Spurs are second-favourites in the market at 6/1, with multiple press reports suggesting Tottenham are also interested.
It’s most certainly a two-horse race, however, with third favourites in the market, Real Madrid, pushed out to 10/1 to sign the midfielder.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Manchester United are in desperate need of quality midfielders, and it appears like Bruno Fernandes is the man to sooth Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's headache.
“The Sporting star would become yet another big-money arrival at Old Trafford, although the club's mixed success in the transfer market in recent windows means there's little guarantee he'll be an instant hit.”
