73% of bets in the last 24 hours have backed a move to United
At least seven different bookmakers have cut odds on Bruno Fernandes joining Manchester United, after cutting odds into as short as 1/50.
Just yesterday morning, odds were just 1/2 that the move would come to fruition this transfer window, although late money last night saw that price plunge.
In the last night 24 hours, 73% of all bets on Fernandes’ next club have backed United to secure his services.
Only one firm is still offering odds on the move, with William Hill going 1/20 on the prospective move coming off.
That followed reports suggesting Barcelona could swoop in at the final hour, they were cut into short price (3/1) second favourites.
Leading football stats site WhoScored.com revealed that Fernandes is top for key passes in League NOS this season with 63.
He also won the WhoScored MOTM in four of five appearances (more than any other player) and had a direct hand in more Europa League goals (5 goals, 3 assists) than any other player in the group stages.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson said: “It's been the one saga of interest this transfer window, and bookies finally believe that Fernandes to United could be a done deal.
"Of the eight bookies offering a price on the transfer, seven of them have suspended betting. Will we see this move finally happen? Punters certainly seem to think so."
