When does the January transfer window close in England?
The Premier League and EFL January transfer windows slam shut at 11pm on Friday 31 January.
When does the January transfer window close in Scotland?
In Scotland, the January transfer window closes at midnight on Friday 31 January, giving them an extra hour.
When does the January transfer window close in Europe?
The January transfer windows in Spain, Germany, France and Spain all close at exactly the same time as England: Friday 31 January at 11pm.
It’s a little different in Portugal, where the window closes on Sunday 2 February, while Russia’s ‘January’ transfer window closes on Saturday 22 February.
When does the January transfer window close in China?
While they aren’t spending what they used to on players, China can still be a big player in the market, and their January transfer window closes on Thursday 27 February, long after the Premier League window shuts.
Can players be signed after the deadline?
In the Premier League, clubs are able to submit a ‘Deal Sheet’ between 9pm and 11pm in order to give them an extension on a potential transfer.
Clubs have until midnight to complete the information on the Deal Sheet otherwise they are unable to sign the player.
