Juventus are now as short as 4/7 to appoint the Catalan for his next European venture...
The rumour mill is live with stories surrounding Pep Guardiola and Man City due to the recent news of their two-year suspension from European football, with huge speculation around where Guardiola will end up.
Juventus are currently the bookies favourite at 4/7 for Pep to take charge of the European giants next. Converted to percentages, that’s a 63.6% implied probability that the Spaniard will touch down in Turin.
A potential return to the most decorated club on his CV, Barcelona, is being offered at 3/1 as second-favourites, with PSG also in the running at 5/1.
There are some surprising figures as Manchester United have received over 50% of the bets to be Guardiola’s next job since the market opened, despite being 50/1 at best price.
With only a year left on his contract Pep is bound to be in the crosshairs of a lot of Europe’s top outfits. PSG’s Thomas Tuchel is set to end his contract at the same time as Pep in summer 2021 which could align well with a new appointment for both parties.
Favourites Juventus are tied with Maurizio Sarri until 2022 however, an unconvincing season at Italy’s Old Lady means Inter Milan and Lazio are still applying the pressure for the Serie A.
Juventus are still in all three of their major competitions but with their high expectations, winning only one of these may not be enough to not see Sarri swapped for Guardiola this summer.
