Manchester United are the punter's pick at 7/5...
Bookmakers have released odds on which Premier League clubs will finish in the top five, with everyone from Chelsea to Crystal Palace priced up.
Chelsea lead the market as strong favourites to maintain their position in the top five, currently priced at 4/11 to stay there.
Jose Mourinho’s upturn in form sees Spurs penned as second-favourites to finish in the top quarter of the league, and now priced at 4/6 to finish in the presumed Champions League places.
Manchester United’s win last night has seen them shorten to 7/5, leapfrogging Wolves in the market.
Since the market opened, United have been the most popular bet in the market, accumulating 24% of all bets.
Speaking of Nuno Espirito Santos’ side, Wolves are 4/1 to break into the top five, despite having Europa League football this campaign.
This season’s surprise package, Sheffield United, are a comparatively short price, 7/1, to potential be playing in Europe’s top competition for the 2020/21 season.
That’s the same price as top echelon staple, Arsenal, who are also 7/1 in the betting.
In terms of outside chances, Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton are currently penned as 10/1 underdogs to bring Champions League football to Goodison Park.
Despite being on the same amount of points as Arsenal, Burnley is currently a whopping 90/1 (compared to 7/1 for the Gunners).
Southampton are 17/5, followed by Newcastle and Crystal Palace, who are both very much on the peripheral of the market at 500/1.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “The race for the top four was tight, but Manchester City's Champions League ban has blown the Premier League even wider open - with a host of sides now with a very real prospect of finishing 5th and qualifying for Europe's greatest competition".
"Chelsea, Spurs, Manchester United and Arsenal all have their usual European aspirations, but this revelation will be of perhaps greater interest to the likes of Everton, Wolves and Sheffield United, who may now smell blood".
