Leicester City cut into favourites to sign out of favour Adam Lallana

His contract runs out in the summer...

Odds have been cut on Adam Lallana reuniting with his former boss Brendan Rodgers, with odds now as low as 6/4.

That means the Foxes are the bookies’ favourite, with an implied probability of 40% that Lallana will move south to the Midlands in the summer.

Many other Premier League clubs have been rumoured to be interested in signing Lallana, with Burnley and Newcastle both priced at 6/1 A move back to his boyhood club, Southampton, is priced at 7/1.

Interest from overseas has also been reported. There’s potential for Lallana to be the next Premier League veteran to move to the Serie A, with Lazio and AC Milan both being priced at 10/1.

Moving to Lazio could be very attractive to the 31-year-old, currently second in the league. A move there would mean Lallana could potentially carry on playing in the Champions League next season.

A career speckled with injuries has seen Lallana’s potential limited and over the past couple of years become less of a regular in Liverpool’s starting XI.

The runaway Premier League leaders will not struggle to attract new midfielders in the summer meaning it is unlikely that Lallana will be offered an extension.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “It's going to prove incredibly difficult for any attacking player to break into Liverpool's starting XI, and Adam Lallana's slide down the pecking order is likely to force him to look for pastures new.

"The 31-year-old's quality has never been in question, so a shortage of suitors for his signature is extremely unlikely."
