
There’s a huge price differential on the outright winner market for both of the Glasgow giants
Rangers and Celtic return to European competition tonight, and bookies have priced up how the expect them to fare.
But what chances are the bookies giving the Scottish sides of getting through tonight, and winning the entire competition?
Oddschecker has taken a look at the markets, ahead of the matches tonight.
Rangers
Steven Gerrard’s side are favourites to win in 90 minutes ahead of tonight’s game vs Braga, currently priced at 11/8 with Unibet.
On the flip side, Braga have been cut into 9/4 slight underdogs for the first leg, with the draw priced at 23/10.
VAR is in use at Ibrox this evening, and it's just 11/8 that Alfredo Morelos is booked.
With the tie two-legged, the sides are almost inseparable in the ‘to qualify market’, with Rangers narrow favourites at 4/5 and Braga currently 21/20.
In terms of lifting the Europa League, 32Red-sponsored Rangers are as short as 40/1 with one bookmaker, but as long as 150/1 to lift the trophy.
Celtic
Despite playing away in the first leg, Celtic are favourites to win in 90 minutes this evening, currently priced at 5/4 to get the job done in Copenhagen.
The home side are 27/10 to take a lead into the return tie at Celtic Park, with the draw priced at 9/4.
In terms of just qualification, Celtic are clear favourites in the market, priced heavily odds-on at 2/5.
FC Copenhagen are available at 3/1 to make it through to the next round.
Similar to Rangers, there’s a huge price differential on Celtic winning their second ever European trophy, with Neil Lennon’s side as short as 33/1 to win the Europa League, and as long as 60/1 with some bookies.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: "It's great to see both of the Old Firm in the business end of the Europa League, and bookies have priced them both up as favourites to progress from the round of 16.
"Another interesting note in the betting is that Alfredo Morelos is the clear favourite to finish as the competition's top scorer at 11/8.
"Whilst Rangers (150/1) and Celtic's (60/1) odds of winning the competition are steep, the later is ahead of sides such as Sporting Lisbon in the market."
