The Toon have an E-Premier League finalist representing them
Newcastle United have had their odds cut of winning the FIFA Ultimate QuarabTeam tournament, ahead of their tie with FC Sion this evening.
The Toon have been cut from 33/1 into as short as 9/1 to win the tournament, making them fourth favourites.
In the last 24 hours, 18% of all bets in the competition have backed Newcastle.
E-Premier League finalist @PlanetToast, a Newcastle fan, is representing the side.
The Magpies are 11/8 to beat FC Sion in the last 32 later tonight, with the Swiss side currently 6/4.
Elsewhere, Man City and Middlesbrough are battling it out for favouritism, priced at 11/2 and 15/2 respectively.
Angers follow next at 8/1, then Newcastle, followed by Standard Liege (14/1) and Istanbul Basaksehir (16/1).
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: "Newcastle United's long wait for silverware hasn't gone unnoticed by Toon fans, and while their wait for success on the pitch is destined to go on a little longer, it seems they have a great chance of claiming glory in the e-sports sphere.
"The Magpies have performed very well during the Ultimate QuaranTeam so far, and will take some beating in the round of 32."
