Lucien Favre's side strolled to a 4-0 win.
Bookmakers have unanimously cut odds on Borussia Dortmund winning their ninth Bundesliga title, following their 4-0 rout of Schalke.
Lucien Favre’s side entered the weekend as 11/2 outside shots for the league, but have now been cut all the way into 9/2.
That’s partly due to friendly results of teams beneath them, with RB Leipzig dropping points at home to Freiburg.
In turn, Leipzig’s odds have drifted from 10/1 out to 25/1 best price with Bet Victor. Some bookies are giving them a better chance, however, available as short as 14/1.
All of the aforementioned teams are gunning to take down perineal German champions Bayern Munich, who eased off a 2-0 win yesterday over Union Berlin.
Consequently, they’ve shortened into 1/5 best price to win yet another Bundesliga title this season.
Borussia Monchengladbach got off to winning ways again against Frankfurt and have been cut from 150/1 into 80/1 best price to top the table.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “A Saturday without top-flight football isn’t really a Saturday, and punters rejoiced at the return of the Bundesliga this past weekend.
“There’s plenty of attention on the outright market, with Borussia Dortmund comfortably the most backed to win the league following their dominant win over Schalke.
“With an attacking arsenal of Sancho, Reus and Haaland for the campaign, it comes to no surprise that 53% of all bets on the Bundesliga winner since Friday have backed Lucien Favre’s side.”
