The Foxes are odds-on to sign Lallana when his extended contract at Liverpool expires.
Leicester City are odds-on to sign Adam Lallana from Liverpool, priced at 1/2. The 32-year-old’s contract was due to run out this summer and a reunion with former manager Brendan Rodgers could be on the cards.
It was confirmed today that Lallana had signed a short-term contract extension at Liverpool to see him stay at the club for the remainder of the 2019/20 season. As a valuable servant to the club, the runaway Premier League leaders wanted to give Lallana the opportunity to enjoy the club’s impending title celebrations.
Klopp described Lallana as “A top-class professional and an even better person,” stressing his importance to the club over the years.
A couple of other Premier League clubs appear behind Leicester in the market as it stands, including Newcastle (4/1) and boyhood club Southampton at 14/1.
Lallana has only made 15 league appearances this season, a tally which epitomises much of his career at Anfield. Signed by Brendan Rodgers back in 2014, he’s struggled with various injuries, especially in recent seasons.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “You only have to listen to Jurgen Klopp wax lyrical about Adam Lallana to know he would be a real asset to another club at this point in his career.
“It’s no surprise to see bookies place Leicester such a short price to sign him with Brendan Rodgers at the helm.”
