Frank Lampard seems to be raiding the Bundesliga...
Bookmakers have slashed odds on Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz signing for Chelsea this summer. A massive fee of £75m has been touted in the press over the past 24 hours.
The 20-year-old has been cut with Paddy Power and Betfair from 20/1 into 10/3, with money continuing to be placed on the move.
That's due to a high percentage of bets backing the Blues, with 46% of all bets in the last 24 hours backing Frank Lampard's side.
The best price available this morning on Havertz making the switch was 11/1, but that's now 6/1 with BetVictor.
Looking towards the Bundesliga, the move comes days after Chelsea shortened from 11/1 into 1/25 to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
Bayern Munich remains the most likely destination for Havertz at 2/1, although their odds continue to drift.
Barcelona are well in the running, according to bookies, priced as 10/1 shots ahead of Liverpool (12/1) and Real Madrid (14/1).
Leading football stats website WhoScored.com revealed that only two players have made more key passes from open play than Havertz (32) in the Bundesliga this season.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Chelsea are looking to make some serious moves in the summer transfer window, with German wonderkid Kai Havertz seemingly the next big signing destined for Stamford Bridge.
"The Blues have already nailed down Hakim Ziyech, but with Timo Werner also touted for a West London move, will Frank Lampard be able to get his hands on the doubtlessly costly Havertz?"
