Premier League top four odds: Who will qualify for the Champions League?

It's tight in the race for the top four

Just seven points separating Chelsea in 4th place and Tottenham in 8th, it’s all to play for when it comes to securing European football next season.

And, with just a matter of weeks until the resumption of the Premier League, bookmakers have re-released their odds for who will finish in the top four.

Oddschecker has taken a look at the market ahead of Project Restart.

At the top of the market, it comes to no surprise that champions-elect Liverpool are market leaders at 1/1000, with one foot in the group stages of next season.

Man City follow next at 1/200, with the top two positions sewn up leaving two remaining for the chasing pack.

The leader of said chasing pack is Brendan Rodger’s impressive Leicester City, who’s eight-point gap to fifth place sees them strong 1/8 odds-on shots.

But it’s tight beneath the foxes. Chelsea are currently in pole position to grab fourth place is Chelsea, who are available in the betting at 8/13.

Manchester United are next in the market, currently priced at 7/4 that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are playing in the top echelon of European football next year.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves follow next at 8/1, despite being well supported by Oddschecker punters before the season kicked off.

Viably, there are another three teams below Wolves that have a shot at finishing in the top four, with odds being cut on Jose Mourinho’s Spurs.

The North London side have been cut from 20/1 into as short as 12/1 over the last week, with the best price of 14/1 still available with three firms.

Despite being priced at 2,000/1 pre-season, Sheffield United are now just 17/1 for a remarkable top-four finish.

Champions League football used to be a given for Arsene Wenger on a yearly basis, but that consistency is no longer.

The Gunners now find themselves no less than ninth favourites to finish in the top four and are a long price 20/1 to do so.

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “With the Premier League title wrapped up, the only source of intrigue remaining towards the top of the table is the race for the Champions League.

“Frank Lampard's side have occupied fourth spot for a large chunk of the season. But, with the long lay-off sure to impact teams in different ways, it's hard to know whether or not Frank Lampard's men will hit the ground running - something they must do with so many competitors snapping at their heels.”
