Could the former Three Lions hero be the man for the job?
Ex-Liverpool hero, Robbie Fowler, has been cut into favourite to be named next Birmingham City manager.
A flurry of bets has resulted in Fowler’s odds tumbling from 25/1 into as short as 6/4 with Bet Victor, making him favourite.
Sky Bet make Fowler joint-favourite for the job at 7/2, alongside Charlton boss Lee Bowyer.
Birmingham-born Lee Carsley is the bookies’ third favourite at 5/1, followed by Craig Gardner (7/1) and current Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard (7/1).
Former Brighton boss Chris Hughton is 8/1 in the betting, followed by Nigel Clough (8/1) and Mick McCarthy (10/1).

Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “Birmingham City have endured yet another underwhelming season in the Championship, and with Pep Clotet heading out of the door, the Blues are without a boss.
"Robbie Fowler, who has only ever managed in Australia and Thailand, would certainly be a left-field appointment. However, should he return Birmingham to the promised land of the Premier League, the fans will not care one jot."
