Man Utd are the 5/2 favourites after today's Europa League draw
Following today’s draw in the Europa League, the outright market for the tournament has sparked into life again.
Man Utd are the 5/2 favourites for the tournament, and given they are 5-0 up after the first leg against LASK, it is almost certain they will face either Istanbul (50/1) or Copenhagen (66/1) in the quarter-finals.
However, punters have been quick to back the favourites, which has seen their price cut into as short as 2/1 now. It is in no doubt to their relatively kind draw but also the fact they are playing some very good football at the moment.
Wolves have been eased out to 8/1 following the draw. They still have to negotiate past Olympiacos (80/1) but will face a hard draw in the form of either Sevilla or Roma should they get through.
Sevilla are 8/1 to go all the way, whereas Roma are rated as a 16/1 chance.
Rangers face an almighty task overturning a 3-1 loss in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie against Bayer Leverkusen. If they do somehow do the impossible though, they will face either Inter Milan (5/1) or Getafe (16/1).
The bookmakers make them a 500/1 shot to win the Europa League, showing just how tougher task they face. Bayer Levurkusen are the current third-favourites at 6/1, and the German side were in good form once the Bundesliga resumed, finishing the season in fifth.
Wolfsburg (100/1) or Shakhtar Donestsk (16/1) will face either Frankfurt (275/1) or Basel (25/1) in the next round.
Basel are 3-0 up after the first tie so it is highly likely they will make it through to the next round. Shakhtar Donestsk have a 2-1 advantage going into the second leg of their tie.
