Who will be joining Norwich in the Championship next season?
Things are heating up at the bottom of the Premier League table with just one game remaining, with Bournemouth, Watford and Aston Villa vying to stay up.
But who do the bookies think will be ending their tenure in the top flight? We’ve taken a look at the market, ahead of the crunch games this week.
It’s not good news for Cherries fans, with Bournemouth all but playing in the Championship, if the bookies are to be believed.
Eddie Howe’s side are now best price 1/25 to go down, indicating a whopping 96.2% chance.
There’s one other side currently odds-on for the drop, with Watford sacking Nigel Pearson and shooting into 3/10 shots to go down.
That’s despite being as long as 4/1 just a matter of weeks ago, as the Hornets appear to trend in the wrong direction.
Watford have been the most backed for relegation over the last seven days, accruing a whopping 51% of all bets in the market.
Aston Villa’s plucky win over Arsenal has proved a huge boost for their survival bid, and are now odds-against to go down.
Dean Smith’s side have drifted from 1/6 out to 9/4 to be relegated, in a sensational turn of events. That’s the equivalent percentage improvement of an 89% chance of going down, to a 30.8% following their victory over the Gunners.
Oddschecker spokesperson Callum Wilson: “It’s a relegation dog-fight that looks set to go right to the wire – and it doesn’t look good for Bournemouth or Watford.
“The latter have been heavily bet on over the last week and look perilously close for a return to the Championship for the first time since 2014/15.
“Watford are currently priced at 27/10 to beat Arsenal away on the final day of the season, whilst Bournemouth are 2/1 away to Everton and Villa are 5/4 to beat West Ham.”
Premier League 2019/20 relegation odds:
